English spelling uses one "l" for enrol.

Tricky question re-consistency, is the correct English past tense "enroled" - I think it should be "enrolled" - but need an English authority to check. If it proves to be enroled - we will need to change the string in the enrolment status model (and link label specifying status.)

This site https://grammarist.com/spelling/enrol-enroll/ confirms:

enrolling and enrolled (double "l") for use outside the US. So think current UK English consistency is correct.

I'm not clear if there're any places where the spelling is wrong? I was already working on the basis that it was enrol/enrolled/enrolling... Is there a place where it's inconsistent?

If enrolled is correct - there are no inconsistent UK spelling as far as I can see. However, if "enroled" is the authoritative UK spelling, then we have a little work :-).

Just noticed this hasn't been closed :) - I found this interesting reference (we're not alone!): https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-32518

They've opted for the following (based on the Oxford English Dictionary, apparently):

  • Enrol
  • Enrolled
  • Enrolment
  • Enrolling

I'll check the code...
